When you, as an institution, invest in materials and products, it is important that they last for many years. That is why here at True-Precision we have created an overview of the most important points to keep in mind regarding the use of weights.
How do I get an accurate measurement?
To ensure that the displayed result is correct, it is essential that the scale is placed on a stable and level surface.
Before you start weighing and reading, it is important to weigh the container in which your sample will be placed, using the Tare button. This way, you only get the weight of the actual sample you are working with.
Never use the scale to weigh objects or items that exceed the indicated capacity. If the scale is loaded beyond its specified limit, it may damage the internal components. You can find the capacity of each scale in the product description.
How do I best take care of my weight for school use?
To take the best possible care of your scale, it is important that your samples (what you are trying to weigh) do not come into direct contact with the scale. This is especially true for substances such as chemicals. Instead, try weighing the sample in a beaker or a small bowl. When storing and using the scale, avoid placing it in very hot, humid, or dusty environments.
To clean the scale properly, it should be switched off and then gently wiped down. This way, you prevent damage to the scale and its internal components.
Even when the scale is turned off, it can still be damaged if objects are placed on top of it.
