Description
KERN ORA refractometers are ideal, simple instruments for measuring various refractive indices. They are easy to operate, portable, and function without batteries or external power. Each unit comes in a storage box complete with all necessary measurement accessories: calibration solution, calibration block (if required), pipette, screwdriver, and cleaning cloth.
The ORA P model is a refractometer designed for measuring urine for medical purposes or doping control. It indicates the refractive index, the specific gravity (SG) of urine, and serum protein. The ORA 5PB model is specifically for veterinarians and provides the specific gravity (SG) of cat and dog urine.
Model numbers ending with “A” are equipped with ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation), meaning measurements are automatically adjusted for temperature, making the device usable at any temperature between 10 and 30℃. Without ATC, measurements are calibrated at 20℃.
